1Password is better and unlikely to be acquired. They are quite profitable on their own.

Bitwarden is a nice alternative. And you can self-host the server part if you want. edit: LastPass is owned by LogMeIn, that's why I mention this alternative.

Keepass; open source, can store the file wherever you wish, isn't liable to be acquired by a private entity since you can just build your own copy. Use open source software wherever possible, it's just better that way.
