#242Am I the only person who can't listen to anything while coding? My attention goes straight to the music, and I can't concentrate on the task at hand! When I was in high school, my math teacher would play Mozart during tests, claiming it would help us. It would drive me crazy, and I doubt that my grades improved as a result of the distraction. For what it's worth, I have a BMus in Piano Performance. I love music... bu…
My wife and I have ADD in different areas/amounts. The difference between us in the way we use and react to sound is, in my rather biased opinion, fascinating: Me: Single source only, absolutely can't listen to music while trying to code or read. I have used https://mynoise.net/ and the Android app to drown out environmental noise when I'm working around others. I'm very easily distracted by noise, especially things…

#245I found The Social Network soundtrack works decent for me. Of course I also like Retrowave/Synthwave and Eurobeat. They may not be the "best" for concentration and working, but I like them and they seem to help.

In the noisy clusterfuck of sound our open office is, listening to music is a soothing balm.

#248Would be great if there were also Spotify playlists. This way you could play/pause from the keyboard, find albums, related artists, skip tracks, etc.

#249There's a guy who makes a playlist on Spotify called Programming with a coffee emoji, I listen to it so often I even found his Twitter or something and reached out to him to show appreciation. Turns out listening to Scandinavian Rock (melodic and lyrics I can't follow) is really good for productivity lol
Link for anyone interested: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2mtlhuFVOFMn6Ho3JmrLc2?si=...
