This is a non-story. A 2002 Model Year Lexus IS was probably manual, and the owner had an aftermarket remote starter installed.

As anyone knows, the starter motor for a car (almost any motor) has an unbelievable amount of torque.

That coupled with a MANUAL transmission, likely in first gear (parked) - caused the car to lurch forward.

Freak accident, but really just a whole bunch of stupid.
