#2This has been debated to death on HN and elsewhere. I also think HN frowns upon flamewars...
They're different enough (GC vs. no GC) that both could have a place in someone's toolkit.
I personally like that Rust's maintainers are so responsive to feedback and focused on correctness and usability improvements, but I have no Go benchmark to compare that to.
