Maybe these CC issuers should just take gender out of the equation and solely base their credit extension on economic and behavioral data points.

This is bad science though. If an overwhelming percentage of people with attribute have behavior , only a fool would ignore that data.

I worry about this a lot with the growing importance of algorithms and machine learning. You can't just not actively program the thing to discriminate and assume that is enough. You have to specifically program it to not discriminate.

Heinemeier Hansson is his two-word last name. It's customary to include a person's first name and full last time in an article.

Hopefully anything linked to gender is looked into for example car insurance? Men typically signifigantly more than women for car insurance.
