#6Their model animal is a fly (Drosophila). I can imagine that impacting the claims significantly. Insects and mammals differ quite a lot. I wouldn’t expect the same results in mammals (or any animals really).

Given the amount of blue (and every other visible wavelength) light the Sun puts out it seems like evolution should have handled this by now.
The catch is that most people don't get enough sunlight exposure to produce enough vitamin D.
