Click-bait headline? Check. Absolutely nothing to do with technology? Check. How does this garbage end up here? This is not even news, it's just blog spam.

Since when is HN a news-only aggregator? The top story right now has a click-bait headline as well and is about octopodes.

Yeah, that one wasn't very good either. That one at least contained a modicum of science, and wasn't just about some person's experience completely unrelated to tech or business.

This one is literally blog spam.

Maybe we should just start having stuff reach the front that's about the new McFlurry flavors that come out at McDonalds.

Submit it! It might actually get on the front page for a while. I would not be surprised. :) "stuff that gratifies intellectual curiosity." is literally "anything".

HN is about anything that gratifies intellectual curiosity. The site guidelines have been making that clear for well over ten years: https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html . If this article doesn't gratify your personal curiosity, that's fine; it has gratified others', as the comments show. Meanwhile, HN has other articles to read. Please investigate those instead of ranting off-topically in a thread you do…

What was the point? I don't know because I stopped reading after a few paragraphs. Usually if there's no point after a few paragraphs, I look at the comments to see if it's worth reading. In this case, nothing in the comments really explains what the point is. So why does this article belong here? That's healthy discussion.

I'd extrapolate the line: twins -> singletons -> immigrants.

Not only they don't have their emotional pair support, they also lost all their friends.

But, of course, there's a huge filter. People who wouldn't be able to stand that don't become immigrants in the first place.
