The other issue with it being published 9 years ago is that they may not even remember it existed (until they got their account locked).

Who remembers what they tweeted 9 years ago? Are we all expected to constantly prune our tweets to conform to new rules? Can we even navigate through 9 years of tweets easily?

Literal millions call Trump dick, asshole, douchebag, and many other familiar slurs. Sure, there are swear words used primarily for a certain gender, but why does that matter? People swear all the time, no need to make it about the gender.

People with private blogs needs to be absolutely free to control commenting however they would like. It’s like saying that Time Warner doesn’t have a monopoly over the electromagnetic spectrum, while technically true in practice in some areas they do.

Twitter is a crucial social communications platform for large enough portion of some societies to treat them as a monopoly.

He’s personally called me a cunt and I’m a friend. Tone policing him about a 9 year old tweet is ridiculous.

Twitter has worse problems currently on their hands with the altright and Propaganda sources.

My guess is that they’re trying to appear “equal” in their reports to Congress. So removing almost decades old post, like my friend’s, would make it appear they’re removing right targeted comments.

It will make that spreadsheet move a tenth of a percent on an unread slide deck @jack can consume while he’s at a sweat lodge.
