No, it doesn’t. The equivalent Firefox feature does not reveal your URLs to Mozilla.

or you could just, you know, use Firefox

True, but nothing beats MS Edge if you have a touch screen and that it a good enough reason for me to stay with Edge.

AFAIK Mozilla does the same.

Mozilla does not send full URLs to a third party. As mentioned in the thread, they use “4-byte URL hash prefixes.”
