#4They don't grow the economy, hardly any of them generate new businesses, they don't build anything physical and hardly even anything technological and they don't even create much entertainment like music or movies, they just perform.
The average housewife used to generate much more economic value and that's why when all the housewife jobs are now outsourced, it is much more expensive than the value the average woman generates at work. All those jobs the housewife used to do, food, laundry, taking care of kids physically, mentally and help them with homework, taking care of the elders, cleaning, gardening. All those things are outsourced and even using slave labour from Mexican illegals doesn't make it economically viable comparing to your average woman doing some secretarial work with a fancy title outside.

CPI includes housing, healthcare and tuition. The basket isn’t fixed, e.g. 1999 CPI didn’t include cell phone data costs.
