The awesome thing is that once the platform is there, they could easily open it up to other languages and get them rolling too--though they might have to really think before diving into languages with a different character set, such as Japanese.

#8Do most mobile translation apps not require internet connections? That part surprised me. I had assumed most apps do the work on a server.

#9Very impressive. I'm curious to see how it performs in the wild though -- can it translate signs outdoors just as well as in a studio? I really hope so.
