I’ve used split keyboards in iPads since I bought them 3 yrs ago. Split keyboards were there forever.
iPads Pro, at least the largest one, don’t have the feature for some inexplicable reason.

yeah but once you learn it, you'll retain the knowledge Pretty much the attitude of people learning Windows or MacOS in the late 90's. ("literacy") It's gone from having to win an audience in the early iOS days, to firmly having the audience in the company's grasp.
what's the solution? not implement multi-finger gestures due to complexity and just omit the feature altogether? I'd rather have those capabilities? My drawing apps on iOS all have tons of multi-touch gestures. I appreciate they are there.

I've found Wolfram Alpha to be a good replacement that doesn't bother me with ads. Does much more than basic calculator stuff. Not sure how much of it requires network. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wolframalpha/id334989259?mt=...

The downside is that literally everything it does requires an internet connection. Even `3+7=`.
Finger cross this includes a first class calculator...
Can I have one as a desk accessory like the original Macintosh (or some DOS TSRs), ie. a floating window while we're doing wish lists?

It's an untraditional calculator, but I love Soulver from Acqualia. It is always one of the first things I install on a new iPhone or Mac. https://www.acqualia.com/soulver/iphone/
Alternatively, I use a lot for a long while Tydlig. Sadly it has been stagnant for a while (I'd like to be able to save "sheets", for instance). But its interaction mode (akin to a spreadsheet, in a sense) is very refreshing. http://tydligapp.com

Actually I think it highlights how well Apple manage their message and keep people focused on them: most people probably don't notice or actually care about the difference in latency, and 9ms is not the best in the market, yet it becomes a 'good news story' validating Apple
Latencies bellow 16ms require a refresh rate higher than 60Hz. For 9ms you need at least 90Hz. Don't know many who do that. Specially if you take in consideration the battery hit that the faster update rate requires.
Will there be a multi-user mode? Perfect for separating work from home or multiple clients... It would make iPad so much more usable as a single device for both work and fun.

The iPod touch and iPad were not released when iOS was called iPhone OS.
The iPod touch launched 2 months after the original iPhone launched, and they both ran iPhone OS.
