Automobiles were death traps for approx 80 years, it's just that the utility outweighed the risk. Not sure the same can be said about flying bikes.

We probably have the highest wing loading of any aircraft, therefore the impact of turbulence is much less than fixed wing or helicopter. At some point you want to minimize stress and just take an easy job that pays a shitload of money and you value your free time more than your career.
