Even with JS disabled you can still get a lot of these via CSS. Sadly none of these technologies were designed with privacy in mind.

You meant Pidgin's modes? It has methods to guess when a user was typing, but not the content.

#29If you really need the kind of security or peace of mind that this situation is not suitable for, type everything into a text editor and paste it into the website when you're ready to send it. Otherwise, you can't ever have any expectation of privacy on the web.
