I remember back in the day when I was referred to as a "web master" - and I didn't even know how tables worked in HTML at the time.

I am too young to have ever used tables for anything else than table data. I am almost 30 years old today and have worked as a dev my whole career.

We sure have made some progress!

That chart is less about becoming a web developer and more about the author showing off their knowledge of the web developer tools space.

It seems they made things "simpler" by replacing all tags with `div`.

Charts like these are guaranteed to scare anyone trying to enter the web development field. A junior position requires much less than is shown there.

Count yourself as lucky for not having to build designs/layouts in tables! Oh what a travesty that was.
