My office mates and I have taken to a habit of calling out what we labeled "low effort criticism". Like when the criticizer uses in-specific language ("crud") or or points at obvious issues (UI on internal tool, rev 0.1). Months later we can mock our old selves, but getting called on it still stings. Sharpen the discourse skills

Indeed, I think just having a few terminal windows open is enough for a lot of people to think I'm "insanely geeky". (The stories of someone getting accused of "hacking" just because of opening a command prompt are quite believable.)

It was love at first sight, when I discovered terminator. I can have as many small terminal sessions as I like. Maybe screen is generally more useful, but sometimes you just want (for example) to see htop on many machines.

I thought it was pretty clear that it’s not meant to be taken seriously, especially if you look at the repo

Doesn't invalidate the parents point though. Anyone using it is going to be laughed out of the room, it's a non-functional toy for children.
