Location: Gainesville, FL

Remote: yes

Willing to relocate: sort of; I am willing to relocate to certain areas, esp. Jacksonville Beach or similar, provided some form of relocation assistance is available... Other areas in the US are currently not an option.

Technologies: Python, relational databases (MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL), web crawling, GUI development, scripting, automated testing, SQLAlchemy, web development (esp. Flask), ETL, REST APIs, parsing. Web development: mostly React. Languages: Python of course, Scheme, Prolog, Lisp. I have some familiarity with many other languages, like C, C#, Ruby, OCaml, Elixir, Clojure, Haskell, etc, and in most cases I can probably quickly become productive in them, if you have an existing projects in one of these languages. (I am always eager to pick up new programming languages or technologies.)

Apologies for being somewhat off topic, but I thought this would be a good place to ask.

Would you hire someone who you know is struggling with depression?

In my specific case, I am seeing doctors about it. But progress has been slow, and right now I'm only managing about 6hrs a day.

(I'm not currently looking for work, my current workplace has treated me very well. But there's been times I've wondered if it would best for both of us if I did find something new.)
