I do custom electronics, robotics, and embedded software development - I specialize in quickly turning ideas into prototypes. I've built custom automation equipment for chemistry labs, sensors that are in use in household/utility applications, control circuitry for construction equipment, 3d printing electronics, data acquisition equipment. No project too small. Few projects too large. Deep discounts for open source hardware work.

I would also be happy to come over (anywhere in Europe) and teach any of the above skills to a small group of interested people. I've taught courses in electronic assembly (SMD), 3d printing (building/using printers, iterative 3d model design using programming) and robot design and construction. I've taught courses at several universities, hackspaces, company events and conferences.

Uh, how so? A lot of people prefer working for themselves on contracts, and no matter how good your network is, is often useful to throw out a line just to see what kind of gigs are out there when you have a gap.

Willing to relocate: sort of; I am willing to relocate to certain areas, esp. Jacksonville Beach or similar, provided some form of relocation assistance is available... Other areas in the US are currently not an option.

Technologies: Python, relational databases (MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL), web crawling, GUI development, scripting, automated testing, SQLAlchemy, web development (esp. Flask), ETL, REST APIs, parsing. Web development: mostly React. Languages: Python of course, Scheme, Prolog, Lisp. I have some familiarity with many other languages, like C, C#, Ruby, OCaml, Elixir, Clojure, Haskell, etc, and in most cases I can probably quickly become productive in them, if you have an existing projects in one of these languages. (I am always eager to pick up new programming languages or technologies.)
