Hmm, there used to be an "ose" edition which lacked some usb patch through stuff I believe, it's not related to that? Haven't seen that in a while but it used to be 2 separate downloads... So it's not any of that stuff you can select on the "Custom Setup" screen then...
On an unrelated note, have you considered a third-party X server for windows, like Xming or VcXsrv, for use with your WSL apps?

But can't the poor souls stuck on windows use hyper-v and RDP into the vm?
Otherwise, don't you have to do everything by hand to configured xrdp on the Linux guest?

It's a seperate download, not anything that you can get with the normal VirtualBox installer. On an unrelated note, have you considered a third-party X server for windows, like Xming or VcXsrv, for use with your WSL apps?
