I often click on the user's comment history if a comment stands out positively or negatively, and I realized that I'd done so more than once with yours. I don't think that counts as weird. That said, I did write a bunch of code that actually allows me to track a user's comments. But I wrote that mostly so I can get updates if infrequent but great commenters post something. Perhaps that is a bit weird.

I found your comment by clicking on another comment of his, in another thread. He is absolutely "live blogging". He seems to have little to no actual real world experience, conflates technological notions easily, and often comments without any understanding of the underlying subject matter. Paulie, I think we would all prefer if you returned to reddit.

I've never thought about it like that... Your completely right, and i'm sure it would show the US is doing alot more harm than previously thought.

Your counterexample is an unrealized future hypothetical utopia. I am not sure where you are going with that, but I am sure that isn’t a “success” because it doesn’t exist yet. That is just a simple question of logical validity not of empiricism.

Not the OP, but it is not 'unrealized' as you say. Read enlightenment now by steven pinkerton. He has a whole book about how we are currently 'realizing' this 'future hypothetical utopia'

Thinking that subscribing to a user's new and public comments (the equivalent of adding a blog to your feed reader) is creepy and stalking would further confirm that. Nice to hear I'm not just being crazy about this though :).

Maybe just me, but unless I am mistaken you mean that if you are willing to call for the mass killing of other people's friends and families (for ANY reason, but in this case for the greater good) then you should be willing to start with your own friends and family. In the end, I don't think genocide is the solution for any problem large or small, but if you are going to suggest it as a solution you had better offer your own pound of flesh in the bargain.

Did I read too much into your statement?
