There's a point in the press conference where the presenter went "And you can scroll the UI as fast as you want, and it doesn't lag! We have 8 cores in our CPU!" (or something: not literal transcription) and the entire audience clapped. That's about as serious an indictment of the competence of the software development industry as I can imagine. Edit: to clarify: the line is "It's a real PSD... it's over 3 gigs, it's…

Was this during the presentation where they were dealing with a huge photoshop file?

Just looking at those product photos I am pretty confused. How is that a display that "goes from edge to edge"? There is bevel on each side...

Care to give actual data to substantiate that, Apple?

> A12X Bionic delivers 2x faster graphics. (footnote: compared to the previous generation).

What does that even mean? The footnote is even more obscure than the marketing piece. "Fast" measures what exactly?

They mean glass

The fixed-width bezel makes it look great. I like it. I don't know why the pencil didn't come with magnetic attachment from the get go, it seems like such a simple change that makes a big difference. The cynic in me thinks that it was deliberately withheld in v1 so that a big deal about its addition could be made in v2.

The sides of iPad used to be rounded, so it wouldn’t really stick.

I just wish Apple would put the internals of the iPad Pro into the Apple TV and bundle it with a decent controller. The gaming potential is massive, and they even compared it to the Xbox One during the keynote. They are squandering a massive market opportunity - I just can't work out why.

That's a good question. Do you think Steve's opinion on gaming is still baked into the company?

Steve Jobs wasn't anti-gaming. The only moment he was anti-gaming was when he was trying to sell $2500 Macintoshes and battling IBM PC's, when IBM was applying FUD against Apple, calling their computers "toys".

One thing I was missing from the presentation: Can it finally connect both a keyboard and a pencil, i.e. does it have magnets on both sides?

I don't see an audio jack in the specs. Am I right to assume the ipad is switching to dongles too?

Yes and the dongle will be sold separately. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

No headphone jack IIRC. Not sure if they ship with an adapter in the box.
