Huh looks like most of the predictions I'd heard came true: USB-C and no home button. Wonder if they're going to do the same shift on the rest of the lines? I'm a little surprised that the iPhone Xs and Xr weren't switched over to USB-c if this is planned for the whole line. Charging the pencil attached to the side is pretty neat the old solution was very... odd and seemed pretty dangerous (having such a long lever arm on the relatively small lightning port).

#13I really like where the iPad is going. I play Civ 6 on a Pro with an Apple Pencil all the time, and I wish the screen was bigger. It is now, but that price... I could get a gaming rig for the cost of a 12in. My only question is where is the mini with FaceID?

That's a good question. Do you think Steve's opinion on gaming is still baked into the company?

#16The device is very nice, but it does not provide enough of a value proposition for me to want to buy one.
It looks great for consuming content (though the focus on gaming when this device is supposed to be for professional use is odd), but the operating system itself limits the ability to produce anything more than trivial content or development.

Apple did that when Apple TV 4K came out: it has an A10X chip in it.
It lacks a controller, though. And the "best" controller is missing three inputs you'd expect (L3/R3 "stick click" buttons and a select button).

I haven't given it a great deal of thought, but I'd wager Apple doesn't want to risk developers prioritizing the controller/TV experience over touch/iPad.
Much like Apple feels that the touch interface is a different beast than trackpad/mouse, and combining them would be a mistake.
