The last Mac Mini didn’t have a DVD drive either. I think the others were already expected to be removed.

Putting a high performance machine in this form factor has really become a lot more viable. I love my Intel NUC. I've traditionally leaned towards full-size PCs for expandability, repairability, and longevity, but I've really started to wish I had a few more of these sorts of machines lying around.

This seems like a pretty important use case. Beside builds, are there other core iOS dev use cases like automated UI testing? I've only done a little bit of iOS development circa 2011.

Yeah I see the issue, but I've had plenty of laptops without CD Drives. SD card would be cool I guess. Mic jack for sure.

Cloud providers will purchase loads of them. Curious to see pre-made server blades made from them.

There’s a $700 BlackMagic eGPU that Apple advertised with MacBook Pro that presumably still works with Mac Mini?

It’s probably either soldered on or non-user replaceable NVMe, like their other portables.

Mac Mini is hardly a portable though. In the past it had been because of thinness, but that obviously doesn't apply here.

Am I the only one that thinks that 128GB SSDs should not exist in any Apple laptop/desktop? I had a hard enough time coping with 128GB of storage in my MacBook Pro when I was using it full time for work. These machines are targeted towards creative professionals, and they're going to need the space, instead of having to immediately buy more storage.
