#3Sounds like Shenzhen signboards during the previous mayor era. Something akin these lines:
"Punishment for public defecation: first prosecution - struggle session; second prosecution - reeducation through labour; third prosecution - jail"
Or hilarious tablets in the metro back in days: "Beware of the gap, you will loose your footing and break your face if you stumble", and the famous "Decapitation hazard" - on escalators

#4I was in Pune 2 weeks ago with my (non-Indian) gf. She quickly found out a practical way of getting rid of the constant requests for selfies with her: just ask them for 50 rupees per photo. Works great!

#6I was in Pune 2 weeks ago with my (non-Indian) gf. She quickly found out a practical way of getting rid of the constant requests for selfies with her: just ask them for 50 rupees per photo. Works great!
Unfortunately, that happens with almost every foreigner girl in India.

Yeah, and if you travel as a couple, some guys will want to have a group photo with both of you, but attempt to move you a bit out of picture so that only your partner and the guy are taken. I presume this adds some bragging rights among peers.
It's funny, but one never knows when fun stops, especially in crowd of 10 local teens who are probably sexually frustrated (=horny) and overflowing with testosterone.

Agree. The Puneri 'patya' (signboards) are an interesting part of the local culture. Punekars (residents of Pune) don't take them seriously. Its all in humour.

Strange, when I went to Goa with my wife (then GF) a few years back the locals were more interested in selfies with me. Then again, she tans very well while I was as white as a ghost. ;)
