#32What a moronic article. More space is always better. On Windows/Linux just chuck the taskbar on the left/right of the screen and enjoy the extra visible space. The shit some people complain about , unbelieavable......

That doesn’t work well for toolbars which have text labels ( like bookmarks or a windows style taskbar).
It works better for bookmarks, since you can fit more entries in the list before you have to scroll.

Not sure what you're thinking of but check out the Tree Style Tabs browse plugin to see what they mean. Tabs with text work perfectly.

#37Well, I really like being able to put a code editor on the left and then a browser, terminal, document, LaTeX output on the right of the screen without them becoming too constrained horizontally. But probably this is a very particular use case?

#38Happy to see the Surface line called out there, love the 3:2 screen on my Surface Book. So much more usable space than the traditional 16:9/10.

#39As a router jockey, I use widescreen (laptops) for multiple terminal sessions, iterm2 with 4 or 6 80x40 cli windows.
