#13This guy was seriously mentally troubled, and that's too bad. Chelsea Manning (Bradley/Bradass at the time) confieded in Adrian, Adrian snitched, and the rest is history. He did what he thought was right, but the consequences were absolutely disastrous. Kids, don't be a snitch.
Simplistic. Kids, please be a snitch sometimes, like Manning.

Is that aimed at Chelsea, Adrian, or both?

#15I'm conflicted about this news. On one hand, he was one of us, and he shared his knowledge. On the other hand, he was a traitor, and he betrayed the trust of a true hero in order to put more unaccountable government power in the hands of people like Donald Trump. Who would have expected that Adrian Lamo would outlive Chelsea Manning? Did he commit suicide — as she nearly did?
I know what you mean but i am not sure how much he knew about the things manning leaked. Considering what he did before i want to believe that he had a good reason why he did it. Maybe he really thought people were in danger

Was it ever found out why he did it? I don't know the guy but it just seems like idk, what is there to gain out of this?

#17Wow. I remember, long before he became famous (I think he went by ill at the time), discovering his Inside-AOL site that delved into the workings of AOL. It was really fascinating to me to find out how so much of it worked (that was the first place I heard of Rainman). I've always loved reading about how complex systems work, and that site was like crack to me. I know that most people here will probably remember him…

Simply put, as much as I respect manning's actions, manning should not have confided in lamo. Rookie move.
source: I... know people that know Adrian

Donald Trump is an averagely decent person and president.
This narrative is not in vogue lately but I believe time will vindicate this position after the immense, cult-like groupthink dies down.
Your and others' usage of specious phrases like "[evil, implied] people like Donald Trump" has a boogieman-ish vibe. I find it very interesting how easily otherwise rational people entirely lose any semblance of groundedness due to what appears to be propaganda at best.
edit: Downvote if you will; can't say I didn't expect it. Nonetheless, I hope therapy helps you in the future once you wake up and realize that you vilified and dehumanized a man based on little more than peer pressure.
