There are a lot of patented extracts that have been proven to be absorbed way better than just eating a lot of turmeric which does not result in curcumin reaching the blood or crossing the blood/brain barrier. For example, the extract Longvida uses SLCP and has been proven to be bioavailable to the brain.

I think that works out to 0.295g or 295mg per tbsp (on average).

#36I also heard turmeric is an antibiotic. Here is at least one study I found on it: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4374920/ So I wonder if helps because it alters the bacterial flora in the body.
