Is this a precursor to pumping their own shitcoin Stellar Lumens? I see they casually dropped it in there after naming a couple others to appear unbiased.

They claim to be interested in Lightning Network, but aren't interested in using it? That's a bit lame. Or a lot lame.

Why do you call it a shitcoin?

Given that bitcoin isn't a medium of transaction anymore and a store of value this makes a lot of sense. Too bad they aren't replacing this with another cryptocurrency at the moment.

Is the lack of replacement option an example of the "they will ruin it for all of us" or maybe an overall decrease in confidence in cryptocurrency altogether?

They should have replaced it with Lightning Network, is amazingly fast and cheap and works on top of Bitcoin. I'm running a test node, this stuff really works!

In case you are curious https://lightning.network and another good resource here https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7pwna9/lightning_n...

Ethereum transaction fees are still in cents. They should start supporting it as a form of payment.

Wouldn't that just contribute to Ethereum transaction fees getting higher, so they eventually have to remove it? They'd need to move to a cryptocurrency with better scalability (something eth might have in the future, but certainly doesn't have now)

One could presume it's because they want to add XLM ; and want to appear unbiased for now.
