Surely it should be a school?
Yeah actually kidding aside, why not that? Maybe the idea is that robots are more like insects than fish, but that seems a bit exotic imo.

#35That sentence seemed gushing and overstated. Presumably a large metal plane isn't really going anywhere and if these 8 underwater drones don't find it then if people keep trying they will in the future.

#36It would be so cool to build one of these things with a collision detection system and a nuclear reactor so that it could crawl the entire ocean. Imagine what it might find. You could potentially become quite wealthy on treasure hunting expeditions alone I would imagine.

#38This is what a HUGIN submarine drone looks like (from the manufacturer's site): https://www.km.kongsberg.com/ks/web/nokbg0240.nsf/AllWeb/B3F...
> When you purchase a HUGIN AUV you join the our family. That's an interesting point of view. I guess it's common with really expensive things?
> This means access to support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The HUGIN family also provides upgrades, advice, training and participation in our AUV user conference where ideas and experience are shared.
So they do mean something concrete by it, even if the language is flowery and over-affectionate.

Not necessarily...InstantPot told me that when I bought their ~$100 device
And are you invited to an instant pot user conferences too?
I have one and I've personally gotten more than five friends to buy. So far the feedback has been positive. I know nothing about the company and receive zero commission or guidance.

And they're a defence contractor. It's sort of like a much smaller Norwegian domestic version of Lockheed Martin or Boeing.
