Your math is impeccable. But I do wonder if someone is considering the possibility that people will get tired of superhero movies in the relatively near future and the whole concept will seem dated.

I've been hoping for this for... I mean it must be a decade now.

It's culture. Why should a single entity have such overlarge control over the creative works that lead and inspire all of us?

Disney having more money and power to lobby against sane copyright laws is a negative for every citizen and really the world

When entertainment agents are too powerful, it leads to more and more draconian intellectual property law.

No. Because unless we know the world ends tomorrow, or they're explicitly dated, there's always time for them to become accurate.

In exchange for 100 years+ of copyright protection we should have FRAND licensing terms. Right now, the public gets nothing.

Most of the FX Networks-owned content has been gone from Netflix for a while; it's been on Hulu or Prime Video.

Sadly Hulu is only available in the U.S., although I find that I can rent/buy from google a lot of content that isn't available on Netflix.

At one point you start wondering why you pay for Netflix.

Ok, so let's get rid of copyright. Now the embarrassing problem is that markets are terrible at incentivizing the creation of what-was-previously-known-as-IP.
