I own a DVD audio copy of Linkin Parks' Reanimation and played on a proper 5.1 system it really is something, completely beyond any simple stereo CD.

I have that as well. It's great.

Also check out Crystal Method's Legion of Boom in DTS-ES.

I wish there were more releases in 5.1 or better, and specifically EDM releases.

Maybe I'm just a nostalgic old geezer, but that was kind of socialising was my favourite thing about the internet. It's a shame I haven't been able to experience it in over a decade. It was so incredibly easy to find and talk to new people. It seems like everything about the current internet makes that deliberately harder. Some Chinese are trying to do that already : Dasung-Ink-Paperlike-13-3-Monitor

There are reviews around the web about it and you can buy one on Amazon. I have not do it yet for the price is still high at 1200$

I also met with a great manager from the Taiwan Eink company. Eink technologies (for they have several similar ones) are mechanical based which implies many constraints.

For the stories the MIT guys who develop it spend around 20 years on it before passing the baby on to the Tawain based company.

Except Amazon, most big companies are not pushing it, I guess because pictures and videos are so prevalent nowadays.

Right, but this problem seems solvable by having multiple credit cards. I would only make an online purchase with a credit card, never a debit card. If there is a charge that I didn't authorize, I can just click a dispute button on my credit card's web app and never have to think about it again.

Tablet might be fun to play with, but really want full replacement for work laptop. But e-ink monitors could be useful, I'll have to look more closely into that.
