Not in some parts of Canada. Trespass is only once you've told someone to leave (or have a sign saying "no trespassing). Never. I've only heard of someone I know (a family member) using it once though. She left more than enough money and a note in the fridge and was very grateful she didn't have to continue driving in whiteout conditions.
