Yeah, this was last week's news from WWDC. Not sure why it's picking up the votes now.
It is interesting because it allowed easy integration, literally just a few lines of code, to Facebook and Twitter accounts for iOS developers. In HN where we get posts for minor Node and Golang update releases, what more exactly do you needed it to have to be on the front page? To discuss an effective way for achieving cold fusion?

Care to explain?
If you had the FB integration set up in a certain way, all your FB friends would become entries in your iOS/macOS Address Book. It can make a huge mess.
