That's really a refreshing perspective on arabic. Although not totally accurate and sometime uncanny

Once you get past ... Whatever the introduction was (an attempt at humor?), quite an interesting article. The intro did get me thinking me thinking, though: it's interesting to me how in American culture we consistently and somewhat wrongly stereotype other languages as sounding villanous (Russian), harsh (German), or difficult (Chinese). It seems to me that as far as Hollywood is concerned, Arabic could have taken all three, but it hasn't. It also got me wondering if there are special watchlists somewhere for people who study Arabic for fun or for no apparent reason.
