It would be interesting to have an option to pay for desired new features in existing projects. You could call it "bid for code" or something: people who need a certain feature in an open-source project would commit to paying some amount of money for it. The first link I clicked on (the UK section[1]) was listed entire with jobs dated 2015 . Even assuming some of those companies still have openings, seeing results that old immediately discourages me from investigating further on your resource.
