> I've switched off auto-updates in Sierra. While system updates should work just fine, I prefer to hold off until the community over at tonymacx86 have confirmed there are no issues. Does anyone know why some of the updates can brick the machine? Also how often does this happen? Or like what percentage of updates break things.
Just that you restart and graphics are weird or audio is having issues, so you have to figure out how to resolve those issues.
By waiting a few days and seeing what issues you may encounter in advance, it's easier to avoid issues.
(That being said, issues from updates has never actually happened to me)
