#32Argon gas would fit the bill. It's heavier than air, so it would sink to the bottom of the borehole, and it's widely available due to its' use as a shielding gas for welding. Most importantly, it would be humane and entirely painless for the dog-- far more humane than leaving the poor animal down there for days or weeks waiting to be rescued.

#33Without a remote camera do the same but keep trying until you randomly catch it.

#35I love dogs, like everyone else, but isn't this all a little bit much? Shouldn't they be considering solutions for humanely euthanizing the dog so it doesn't have to die of thirst/starvation? If you think dogs (and other such animals) are edible why would you object to just filling it in with dirt? You'd slit it's throat normally and cut it's flesh off it's body to eat but you won't suffocate it in 60 seconds by burial?
You need to pick a side.

If you want to humanize something most of us eat would you want that done to you? or would you want every effort made? "most of us" do not in fact eat dogs.
Yes I know Muslims, a big part of the population won't eat dog or pork etc. But not because they are considered purer, but they are considered impure.
Vegetarians/vegan are a minority for now.
