A white guy, seven indians, no job and the H1B Visa Scam

I'm white, Seven Indians and the H1B Visa scam

I happen to be white and I happen to be a computer programmer. I went to 7 interviews this month and all of them turned me down, even the ones with that had me sucessfully do their tests and programming exercises.

Something is not right folks!

Now I like all people, and I am only stating a fact here. All of them were Indian. And ( And I am only stating a fact) everyone in the department was Indian.

The other thing is, when applying for a job on indeed indeed tells you how many other people have applied for the same job. I am in new york and some of these jobs get 150 applicants.

Again, I like all people. Why are there so many Indians coming here on the false premise that there is a skills shortage? There are too many programmers WITH SKILLS chasing few jobs.

H1B skills shortage ? I don't think so. I have skills coming out the ying yang.

C#, Nodejs, Golang. sql no nosql, Angular, front end back end my skills list goes on and on. 20 years experience and I can't land a job. And I tried to come across as nice as pie in the interviews. Even though their English was atrocious.

Too many applicants. Baloney! ( There is NO skills shortage and the H1B visa is a scam ) Indians have taken not some of the jobs , but ALL of the jobs. And I am only stating a fact here. They only hire other indians. Don't believe me. Go into these companies and you will see with your own two eyes. I'm screwed.

One other thing before I sign off my life. Go look at any open source project and see how many Indians, have created an open source project or even contributed to one. Don't believe me, Look at the empirical evidence. No great software craftmanship or contribution.

Am I wrong ?

A couple of weeks ago you believed you'd blown the interviews because there were "random" questions - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13518208 - what's changed to make you think there's a scam going on?

I was being a coward thats why, but I decided to grow a set and speak out. There has to me many many people out there who have had similar situations. I'm betting 10's of thousands of us. Programmers don't really stick together. There is no Programmers union. Anyone out there with a similar experience, please speak out too and post here.

I was applying everywhere. I am only mentioning the places I actually got an interview. God knows how many didn't invite me in on that basis. These were all established companies however. I glanced around the room and all of them are Indian. I don't care what race a person is. But if you go into a job interview and everybody has blue hair. You would say to yourself God, They only hire blue haired people. I have brown hair I guess I won't be getting the job. This is not a sampling of one company. It's seven I managed to get into interview.

Well you have to do the scientific method and do a bigger survey and work on the hypothesis. I am curious are there people out there with similar findings?
