Sometimes I think Lennary Poettering should offer a Patreon or similar donation scheme where every Linux user can cough up $1 and he'll promise not to write any code, send any emails or indeed use a computer at all.

If he was calling Lennart a sociopathic blond-haired hitler youth with a software design ethos that would make Uncle Adolf proud, that would be a personal attack. But he didn't do that. he merely said that, if Lennart had put up a Patreon to stop writing software, he (and I) would donate.
I understand that this is a borderline-vitriolic reply, but hopefully you understand that the flagged/dead post is setting the bar real low for what qualifies as a personal attack here.
