#6Android application (APK) files contain executable bytecode files in the form of Dalvik Executable (DEX) files, which contain the compiled code used to run your app. The Dalvik Executable specification limits the total number of methods that can be referenced within a single DEX file to 65,536, including Android framework methods, library methods, and methods in your own code. Getting past this limit requires that you configure your app build process to generate more than one DEX file, known as a multidex configuration.
Do Android apps regularly encompass over 65.3k methods? I assume a majority of these would be framework type functionality, but it really seems that a multi-dex product would be near impossible to maintain.

#9I opened Instagram the other day and saw a grey error message show up across the top of the app... it said something about a React error. I didn't get to read it well because it quickly disappeared. I thought I was tripping. Good to know I wasn't.
