If Amazon adds ability to pay with Paypal, I'll start buying from them tomorrow. Paypal is my main means of payment online, both outgoing and incoming, and Amazon has lacked much of my business because it didn't allow me the option. Once they open up to PayPal, I'm sure many people I know will also start to shop more Amazon immediately.

I'm 100% opposite, I refuse and won't use paypal unless there is no alternative. I'll pay a few bucks more from another merchant as long as I don't have to use paypal. Once you have been burned trying to use them from a dev perspective, never again.

Just search "paypal screw over startup" and grab some popcorn.

That is the first time I hear this sentiment. Most I know have been bitten by Paypal for suspected fraud etc and will never touch them again. PP their attitude to fraud is shoot first, maybe ask later.

Why? Just because of the effort of entering your credit card info?

Since I got fucked over by PayPal professionally & subsequently ignored, I pulled PayPal from all sites I run and won't be using them privately either.

The way they conduct business is about as good and mature as their terrible APIs. No thanks. Never again.

Also I wouldn't recommend trusting a company that can't get a simple payments API right after multiple attempts (even after startups like stripe did it better) with your credit card info.
