Cool. I have to admit I haven't thought about Wine in a while because I can't think of any software I use that doesn't have a Linux version. What are people's use-cases nowadays?

Any hope of playing Overwatch with this?

AppDB is the canonical resource for this kind of question: https://appdb.winehq.org/ -> Returns https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=applicatio... , which says it's currently classified "Garbage" as of 2.0-rc2.

Ah that's sad to see. Maybe someday

I've been using computers my whole life, and a lot of the magic has been explained away. Wine is a project that continues to astound me.

Grats to the Wine team, this is great!

I use it to run esoteric windows-only software on my mac. For instance many ham radio programs are ancient and windows-only, many work fine in Wine.

Also I like to run HeidiSQL in Wine because there's not really an equivalent swiss-army-knife kind of tool that I've found that I like better.
