I agree it can be a bit work to get ur ubuntu laptop works perfect. But just a simple wireless driver install with ubuntu 14.04 lts gives me the perfect experience. While my win10 connection constantly droppes.

It is very dishonest to claim that Linux is 100% usable when wireless drivers crash frequently and wireless throughput never matches that of proprietary drivers. Not to mention battery life is almost always worse. Sad, but true.

The irony is, I have far more problems on my 2015 MBP with the Wifi drop-out rate than I ever did on Linux.

What chipset and OS are you using with Linux?

I am using Virtualbox with the "Oracle Extension Pack" (to get USB2.0 etc) on Win10. These tips work just fine on Windows 7 as well. In the VM config, be sure to set virtual displays to the same number of monitors you have/are using on Windows. Then install the guest addons on your distro and make sure it is working correctly (ex.: you don't need to lock your mouse inside the VM, etc). Sometimes, "guest addons" versi…
