Economy follows the path of least resistance and cheaper labor through H-1B is that path now. But taking away visas does not mean everyone will happily employ local computer science graduates. This is what is more likely to happen: - Coding camps have lower requirements (notably cost), graduate people faster, and are proliferating quickly. #71H1Bs do not work for minimum wage jobs. Why then is the minimum wage not rising ? If you do not consider the Indian consulting companies, H1B get paid higher or on par with most Americans and most have graduate degrees.
