Imagine some drunk guy hops into his car in bad weather. He taps the auto-cruise button and then passes out. Snow, rain, construction, - something - hinders the ride somewhere along the way home. i fear much of the enthusiasm behind self-driving cars is from people who understand neither driving, nor computer software, very well.
