#3Boris is a good guy (I know him personally from when I lived in Vancouver), so don't go all TechCrunch Commenter on this.. :)

#4Hah, the only positive piece I heard about Bootup Labs (who recently kicked out a bunch of their startups) was that this Boris guy was working with them. I guess they don't even have that now... I feel sorry for them...

You might be thinking of Boris Wertz, who joined Bootup's board around when their the cohort downsizing story hit last month. Boris Mann's presence was definitely a positive for Bootup, but not the only one.

I'll second that. He's community-minded and a good open source citizen.

#7Good move, a VC this guy was not. In his own post he whines about Bryght, his last startup, and Bootup being "underfunded." Well who is to blame for that? The ecosystem? I am sick and tired of whining like this from founders who don't have what it takes to provide for their own businesses by bootstrapping, driving revenue or being coherent and credible enough to raise investor capital. Face the facts, he's a total lightweight being blown off here by his own partners.

This is a clear cut case of a lightweight, scatterbrained, under=performer getting the boot from his own partners.
Go cook some bacon or something!
