#2Once upon a time, I remember C# vs Java being a meaningful comparison, but Oracle's total standstill has completely put an end to that (although I'm not actually sure who's fault that is - do Oracle deserve the blame for this?)

#4Frankly the idea of porting a C# runtime to a new platform sounds more exciting then debugging 10,000SLoC of machine generated C++ to a new arch.

#8The use case is advertised as allowing you to port code to new devices. But the github repo says it only supports Ubuntu, OSX, and Windows. Lastly C++ isn't generally considered a portable language. Frankly the idea of porting a C# runtime to a new platform sounds more exciting then debugging 10,000SLoC of machine generated C++ to a new arch.
