You have a very biased view. The real problem with phones made for China is that they don't support LTE bands from North America. That's bad because I would love to have such a nice phone, but not at the expense of going back to 3G.

With Android there is such a huge choice of different phones that you can find one close to the one you'd like. Many people would like a thin high resolution display and don't care about many of the things you care about. They can buy different phones to you. It was fine if you kept it in a case. That protects from the errant touch events I mentioned in another comment here, as well as making it so I don't have to look at the back cover.
