I can think of a few reasons. 1) Women are graduating from college at a higher rate than men. 2) Women are going to college at a higher rate than men. 3) Women have a higher literacy rate than men. 4) Women graduate from high school at a higher rate than men. After hundreds of years of virtually the same argument being made, I think the burden is on you to say why this time is different.
