I wonder how much the current 'marijuana is good for you' attitude resembles the 'smoking is good for you' attitude in the past? NB: I think all drugs should be legalised so this isn't an anti-drugs post.
I'm also a little bit bothered by the 'marijuana is good for you' attitude that we see in the US. It seems that in order to prove that it's not bad, people go to the opposite direction. The reality is more nuanced than good/bad. Why? Most peoples experiences with marijuana are positive. That doesn't mean it's harmless, but not every show on television has to be part of some drug-prevention propaganda.
